2 previous page next page Oil Pan Leak - Weld versus Replace

The weld repair would be with the pan removed, that's the only way to do it proper. Likely drill-out the crack to stop propagation and eliminate stress-risers. Load test not possible, hence known risk. Currently getting Cat to provide accurate lead-time on new part, which is the preferred if...

    Anchor alarm question

Anchor Alarm I use the alarm output feature from the Garmin to fire a piezo alarm in the stateroom. Also use Anchor Pro Premium app as well as Aqua Map. Sewer/Drain Flies

Thanks - we have been using the vinegar method with some success, however I’m more seeking a solution for the source. I suspect this could be a battle that can not be won, however thought someone out there may have a “trick”. I did read about filling the tank to “full” with a mixture of bleach...

    Washer/Dryer Usage on Board

We just replaced the 30 - year old Frigidaire combo with Asko washer and vented dryer. Very happy with this upgrade. We’ve been onboard 3 years and would not do without a washer & dryer. If you can fit them, they are great to have. The small 24 x 24 foot print of the Asko is convenient. I had...
