My alternator is rated at 100 amp I was thinking of getting the 60 amp dc2dc charger.

My only concern is the load on the alternator. I have a 100 amp alternator. I am sure it would be working a long while underway to recharge the housebank.

The source would be the battery/alternator from the engine. This would help charge the house bank so I can charge them while underway without having to run my generator and ac battery charger.

I am thinking of adding a dc to dc charger was curious if it would charge two batteries run in parallel?

We discovered our dripless shaft is leaking while underway. Looks like it was not installed with enough pressure on the bellows. Is there a way to adjust this while in the water?

Thanks for the reply. I bought a stainless steel bolt grounded down the head, drilled a pin hole and it worked like a charm. $2 for the bolt and 20 mins of my time.

My Perko intake strainer cover bolts are stripped. Has anyone had any success with grinding the head down on a stainless bolt? $30 a bolt is a ridiculous price.

We left Philly after putting in the steering cylinder in. While at the dock we added about a quart of liquid gold, seastar hydraulic fluid. We are now under way with the bottle still attached to the fill and every once in a while bubbles are still coming up. Especially while turning the wheel.

Thanks I think that is the only option without any bleeding valves at the steering cylinder.

I just had my seastar ba125x7-bj rebuilt. I may planning on reinstalling on the boat tomorrow but noticed I do not have any bleeding valves. How do I bleed the system?
