I am in the process of prepping my boat bottom for painting. I need to wipe the entire surface with a paint thinner, can any thinner be used? The manufacturer recommends Petitt 120 thinner but its expensive. Also any idea how much I would need to wipe a 41' down?

Yes I am you on running the generator as little as possible. I essentially want to do the same thing as you do. Could you recommend a brand and model of 6v batteries and quantity.

Not sure if the golf batteries are worth the investment. How often do you use your 12v system? I have a generator with seperate battery and twin cummins diesels with their own starting battery.

Finally getting around to removing my non working alternator. I am trying to remove the old pulley to put on new unit. I have it in a vise and the nut is just spinning. Do I need an impact gun to remove?
