    Don't skimp on electronics for the flybridge; you may find that you enjoy running the boat upstairs, especially in the summer. Having said that, our radar only displays at the lower helm. Inside is where we are on a cold, foggy morning.

    I love our "old" (1987) Grand Banks. I love the 9 knots. I love the varnished rails and interior woodwork. I love the way she handles rough seas. I also love the fact that in retirement, we can take her out almost any time we want and we do.

    I agree that Sector Puget Sound has a radio problem: the watchstanders uniformly speak rapidly with low volume. Canadian CG is easy to hear and understand, as are Channel 14's "Traffic" controllers.
