    Yes I agree, I have 100 feet 5/8 Nylon line, I was still thinking adding more chain. My goal is to drop the anchor and feel good about it.BTW We are currently in Northern NJ and will be headed south Sept.

    If you look at the overhead view on the deck to the right the dark small circle is the hawse, i believe the chain will not make a right turn? I am thinking i have to cut both new hole for hawse and one in the pulpit behind the windlass so the chain falls nicely. Perhaps widen the pulpit also...

    West System for finish, Why Not

    I was experimenting with some teak, sanded down to bare wood and applied West System epoxy 105 resin with hardener and it looks great ! So the obvious question is why not? I know it cant be that easy other wise all would be applying resin. Thanks

    I do not plan on staying in the NYC area but head south. I am not oppossed to canvas up top but I am committed to using solar panels and I understand the soft panels are not as efficient .and, some side panes sound very good
