My old girl is almost vintage, so it's not easy to find the right stuffing box, the one I need is threaded to the stern tube where as most everything I've found has "o" rings. Thanks to a member I have managed to get my hands on a unit with the correct size packing nut, so I'm off to the machine...

After seeing the size of the sharks we had around the boats this summer while cod fishing, I will be adding one rule for next year. "Keep you hands inside the boat at all times, do NOT try to land your fish by hand, wait for someone to gaff it for you".
