The Admiral reminded me that it wasn't fair to show Stella (the pug) and not Morgan (the lab / springer) so here's one more. Except for the constant cleaning of hair, they really bring a lot of enjoyment to an outing, don't they?

This has been done before, but here again is a picture of Oscar, the standard poodle, masquerading as a Newfoundland.
Hint: it's the hat.

Here's my Newfoundland masquerading as a standard poodle (with a pack a day habit) :)

Holly, my last of 6 Shepherds (though there was perhaps a touch of kelpie) left us in September, nearly 14. It gets easier, but it takes a while.

Sorry to hear that Bruce.

Maybe we should have a thread solely for our ex boat mates, four legged not two, 'Great Laker' take note!

My girls, last April. Phyllis and Uka. They are both smiling because we are on our boat!

We have a real Labrador and a Maine Coon who thinks he's a Labrador. Both had a tough day apparently.

This is Polar, relishing the conditions he was bred for... He also keeps us safe from otters, seals and most birds.

Andy-my two-legged "ex" was not a boatmate which explains the "ex"! The four legged one never stops up the head!

This is Radar (missing the boat).

Today we had to put our old pooch down, he tried to fight old age and had been successful over the past few months . . . .

RIP old Kai you were a good mate travelling down the inland river.

Sorry for your loss GWKIWI. Condolences to you for the loss of your dog.

Norma Jean (RIP), Sailor, and Harley.

We've got you outnumbered. Where are those treats!!

My Skipper:

And in her Pirate Pup outfit:

She's four pounds of fluff and probably sheds that per week in fur. Still, she's great company and doesn't bark unless a boat approaches mine. I'm glad Skipper is my shipmate.

This is "Mocha", off watch, he's 125 lbs and snores loud enough to keep me awake!.

Mocha is a Mastiff or Lab? Big boy!

Hi Ben,
He's a Lab, although I'm no expert lol, rescued him 2 years ago and he's a gentle giant, seems to like everyone and adores kids.

Technical Difficulties

Our boat dog, Troy, does not like me on the computer. He will crawl up into my lap, and lie across the computer to keep me off it. Then after a good back scratching he will go to sleep. That boy surely has a good life.

That's very interesting. Our Chihuahua Harley jumps into my wife's lap, and refuses to move away anytime she uses the computer. The dog does not care if I use the computer. Weird huh?
