Still need to do some realignment of the new shaft, the guys doing the job tell me the packing wasn't installed properly either which caused the shaft to overheat.

Cheers sport, I'll keep that in mind, I was at the machine shop this morning banging on their door at sun up lol, the machinist thinks he can come up with a solution, I asked him to fabricate a plug then re-machine it with internal thread, clutching at straws I know but the alternative is to...

Not a good way to start the day....

Agreed Elwin, If there's problem with a boat in my town, by the time the owner gets the news the locals will have things well in hand in fact they will most likely have done any needed repairs!! I suppose it's different in a big marina where I hear, you can't leave a shore power lead out...

Oh yes "Careb", I had my eye on her for almost a year, tried to beat to owner down into my price range but he wouldn't budge, and the cost of getting her home was just too much for me, so VERY reluctantly I called the broker and backed out. The only concern I had was her size, especially the...

Top Ten Rules Of The Boat

After seeing the size of the sharks we had around the boats this summer while cod fishing, I will be adding one rule for next year. "Keep you hands inside the boat at all times, do NOT try to land your fish by hand, wait for someone to gaff it for you".
