When I bought a new Norcold several years ago, the front panel were ordered separately. The original Norcold had teak panels which were sized differently from the new one. The set I ordered came in black.

Our 450 looked pretty close to the 426's we looked at, except that it has molded steps to the flybridge instead of a ladder. Other then that, we didn't see much difference.

I just refilled a Taylor ball that I had in storage. I removed the valve and used my shop vavumn to inflate. It worked surprising well and the ball is full.

We also have Nick Jackson davit system on our new boat but we haven't decided if we like it or not. As S41 says, the weight is not on the lid which we do like. Our last boat (a sundeck trawler) had Roskelly Olson ST-275 transom davits and we really liked the system but it was tough for my wife...

Stop leak What ever you do, don't use stop leak. The previous owner of my last boat did instead of properly finding the leak and correcting. It only ended up costing 9k to replace two units. Sigh...

The new owners of my recently sold single engine trawler paid Cummins right at $1000 for engine and generator.

Call Carl at Elite Marine, they are located up Salt Creek near Harborage Marina in St. Pete. I was really pleased with the work and price. I also appreciated that they were on time as well.

We just sold our single engine trawler with a bow thruster and are in the hunt for a boat with twins. I personally missed having two engines for a lot of reasons, my wife just prefers operating with twins.

Are the coils frosting over on the back and bottom of the freezer? Mine was frosting over only about 20% of the area and the the compressor was working hard and still not cooling very well. A local guy suggested installing a service port and recharging the freon, which he did. I guess...
