There is no fishing line wrapped around the prop union and the oil level in the lower unit is fine. One Mechanic I spoke to said the black oil drip was left over from the burning of the two stoke fuel mix I am runing 100 to 1 (as advised by Yamaha)

The black oil seems to be leaking out between where the prop is attached to the outboard leg. Ps I have tried unplugging the fuel line and running the engine until is stops. - no success.

Yes it looks exactly like the lock for the forward lazarette on my 42 GBE ‘s cockpit. Same location too.

Does anybody know why I get an oil leak on my 15 hp two stroke Yamaha, even after I unplug the fuel hose and run the engine dry? The oil seems to be coming from the union of the prop and the engine leg.

As far as keeping them off in the future - we have found that the plastic chicken wire or plastic snow fence held of the the swim grid with shock cords work well when the boat is left unattended for awhile .

I am having trouble finding new Canadian charts of the BC coast. Has anybody found up dated PAPER charts of the B.C. COAST

+ 1 for Sure Marine. I think hydronic is the way to go. The hot water is carried through small hoses through out the boat , and to small fan radiators where the heat is required. Our original Wabasto lasted for many years, and last year we installed a new one.

Yes bbarns61 the arch is part of the support for the Bimini, also the front and rear part can be removed , but have to admit I have not done it in 4 years. I will try and take a pp of it when next I am on board.

I too had a problem lowering the mast on our GB 42 E so it would fit into our shed. So I coppied some of the new GB's and replaced the mast with a S/S arch. looks great and it saves my aging back. see photo.

My 1998 GB Europa 42 has the original 30 gal US holding tank.

Table bag Like a lot of trawler owners I used to have a sail boat. I found that my leftover sail bags were well built and tough. I have used them for many years for this purpose and they are standing up well. Ps the price was right as well.
