    Training and Licensing

Yep. Uh, I meant nope! Yeah, that is all we need. More nanny state. Where does it end? We know it doesn't work!

    I can see it, but...

My 2006 Pilot 30 has the typical Faria 4 function gage, but the little pointer for the volt meter has fallen off and is resting under the glass at the bottom of the gage. I figure a little dab of super glue ought to fix the problem but how do I get the bezel off and get into the thing? Your...

Teak deck coatings on old trawlers

Durabak Used it on my sailboat. Extremely durable and long lasting. Great nonskid. Followed the directions very carefully and never had any issues. Color was very consistent. Had to work quickly in the Florida heat when putting it down.

    Little Green Lights

O.K. Do the little green DC indicator lights on the electrical panel ever go bad? I turned my fridge on and the little green "on" light didn't go on. The fridge is working fine.

    water intrusion/rot

Not to change the subject, but the bigger problem might be old leaking or soon to leak fuel tanks.

    52 foot seas anyone?

And I thought it was bad... Anemometer blew out at 47 kt in 12 foot waves in the Gulf of Mexico. Guess it wasn't so bad after all.

    Running Lights Pilot 30

Would it not be possible to simply tap into the windlass ground? I am not having any luck at all finding the "break" in the ground to the bow running light.

    Running Lights Pilot 30

You mean mount a couple of LEDS on the side of the windshield?

    Running Lights Pilot 30

Looks like I have lost ground to my running lights. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Looks like Mainship actually molded the wires into the bowsprit so there is no way of running a new ground.

    Oops Broken Switch - 06 Pilot 30

Looks like switch is good. I have lost my ground to the bow light. Is there a ground plate somewhere between bow and console or is it home runned?

    Oops Broken Switch - 06 Pilot 30

I have a broken toggle switch on the console. It's the running light/anchor light switch. Where might one find a replacement? I can't see a logo and haven't found anything quite like them on line.

    Trailer for a Pilot 30

Thanks for the input. My sailboat was 10'3" and the annual permit up to 10' is nominal here in Fla with no restrictions on when you can tow. Never heard of anyone being cited for being 3" over but there's always the what if....

    Trailer for a Pilot 30

I am considering buying a trailer for my Pilot 30. Having hauled a large sailboat and a 37 ft 5th wheel I feel confident in pulling my Mainship 30. I know I will need a relatively steep ramp (just like the sailboat) but can anyone give me some advice (i.e.) wisdom on the ins and outs (pun...

Decided on a Mainship Pilot 30

Hi from Tampa Bay where our endless summer finally went away today. Joined the forum in May and read a lot of your comments on pilot boats and looked at too many but finally decided on a 2006 MS Pilot 30. After 40+ years on a sailboat, it's, well, different. Just wanted to say thanks for all...

Best place for a genset on Albin 28TE

Looks like we have sold our Freedom 32 and have decided to buy an Albin 28. Seems like most don't have a genset and IMHO we need one for A/C here in Florida. Suggestions would be appreciated. Since the boat will be used mostly for cruising, couldn't one be neatly installed on the aft deck?
