    Wanted: EZ Docker Hook

Well, shoot, my faith in the honesty of boaters has been shaken and I feel embarrassed to be taken in so easily. Larrygrandx (who is no longer on trawler forum) said he had a friend selling the one. So I contacted him, sent the $ and he said he didn't get it, but he did according to the bank...

    Good news!

More things to be thankful for Over here in Puget Sound we're being thankful for the health of our family, the extra quiet time and the lack of robo calls. We're working on unfinished projects and enjoying the unusual sun and lack of aircraft noise. We count our blessings every day our son...

    Hauspipes for 38lrc

Hi all, We're in need of replacing at least 2 of our hauspipes. The PO replaced the ones in the bow with stainless that didn't fit properly so they added some filler goop to make (a mess) it fit. We have no idea if they altered the hole size. One other aft one is chipped pretty badly but...

    New head time ?

Been following this thread as our old Jabsco macerater/motor quit. Thank you for the good advice, Peggy! We just installed a Raritan elegance with the raw water pump. It's quieter, and hopefully will use less water overall. We're headed out for a month the end of the week so it'll get broken in...

    window replacement

This thread has been very helpful, thank you. We've pulled our aft cabin long windows (leaking so very badly) and followed your lead and contacted Peninsula Glass; got our templates done yesterday! Any input on tinting colors? Which are good or not so good choices? We're thinking solar cool...

    Marelon seacocks

We need to replace some of the seacocks, and possibly thru-hulls, in our recently acquired Californian 38. Does anyone have experience with the Marelon products vs the traditional bonze?

Californian owners manual and technical drawings

G'day jlamb15, We recently purchased a 1976 Californian 38 LRC that has been trough several owners and many modifications, including re-engined with Yanmar 110 hp diesels. We have found a few equipment manuals but are absolutely craving more information onn the boat and it's systems. Sea Gull...

    props for 38LRC

Thanks guys for the info. Yes, the old props are eaten up a bit. We did know we could have them fixed, just wondered if the 4 bladed were what should be on there. Thanks for the prop shop names- that is great information! We are so new to this (we've had boats before, but not this big and not...

How do you do your boating

We bought our Calif 38 about a month ago and so far our only cruise has been moving her from Anacortes to Vashon (a long day!). We've been doing the much needed cleaning and small repairs. We're reitred so our plan is to spend weekdays out exploring Puget Sound this year and learning our boat...

    props for 38LRC

We recently purchased a Californian 38. It has (nearly) new Yanmar 110 hp diesels. Currently it has 3 bladed props that need to be replaced next haul out. On the boat we found two brand new 4 bladed props. How do we find out which are the right props for our engines?
