    Washer/Dryer Usage on Board

We have both a compact washer and dryer. The 2 separate units work much better and can be used at the same time. It all depends on your cruising plans and what other equipment is on board. As with everything involved in boating, it is a compromise! We love our setup and all I had to give up was...

Sure, there is a 1981 Albin tri-cabin 49' listed on Ebay under Diesel trawler. Just got off the phone with the present owner. Says he purchased it last year on the FL. west coast. He has done his trip and now plans to motorhome it. Seem like a real nice and informed owner. The boat is now...

    bow thrusters

Also that is exactly where boards like this come into play! Usually more than one person responds to a DIY Question giving the OP a lot to think about IE: his skill level, tools needed, what makes the most sense, ETC. THEN they can determine which course of action to follow. One of the Great...

WesK, while what you say is all true & valid; I have experienced the "Skilled Rate" done by the "Unskilled" labor. People just except that as normal. I say "I may Be slow, but when done I know it is right" You cannot even embarrass some of these so-called experts. At the end of the day, they got...

New to Forum, Long time Boater

I have always liked the Grand Banks. I understand Albins are good boats. I am 6'4" tall so head room and long Beds are important. Additionally, I like H Ted Gozzard's idea of a boat meant for a couple with an occasional guest. We Have 2 shepherds so ease of getting on and off comes into the...

    First Purchase Advice

Charles, I did the same thing as you on my last boat. I also was allowed to leave the dock and anchor outside the Harbor overnight. It was all written into the original purchase offer and also after an employee of the broker had checked me out on the operation of the boat.
