2001 Mainship 430 Generator

Has anyone added an access hatch above the generator for easier maintanance?

I have a 2002 two cabin 430. I have not considered an access hatch above the generator, but had considered installing one on the back side of the generator thru the storage area. When I do work on the generator I typically will remove the sound shield wall ( about 6 screws) and can then access almost everything.
