I have asked before and did not get an answer. I am thinking that someone out there in the mainship brain trust has replaced the salon a/c unit which only has access by removing part of the salon flooring. A larger opening other than the a/c filter grid, at least on my boat, has a screwed in section of flooring that can be removed. My 18 year old a/c unit is still kicking but etc! Thanks in advance !

I have a 2006 Mainship 34T. Replaced salon 16K AC last summer. Only access is thru the air filter, its tight. The AC sits in a fiberglass well, no access from below.

I replaced my unit on a 2006 Mainship 34T with Dometic Marine Air 205-311132. Its 16K, a tight fit but doable.

In my 2006 MS 34, previous owner had a beautiful cherry cabinet built in at corner of salon right over the AC unit. For ease of future access, I disassembled cabinet, opened up the sole, made a larger access panel fitted with piano hinge, and reassembled it. Now AC unit scan be removed.
