The Previous owner left an old ac/dc inverter in the boat with some wiring still in tact. Today I was ready to take it out, I checked all the wires to insure there was no power. Then I noticed two red wires (non factory) running out of the bottom of the old inverter.

Both wires run to a sending unit on the port side of each Lehman 135. Each sending unit has two wires connected to it. One goes to the alternator and the other goes to this defunct old inverter?

I am not sure what to make of it, my gauges work but oil pressure is high.. not sure why one wire out of each sending units runs to the old inverter?

The "sensors" are switches that turn on with oil pressure. Apparently anytime the engines are running, the alternators power the inverter.
