I am in the process of getting my television back to the regular antenna. My boat had Trac Vision which I am not using. I was able to reconnect the original antenna bypassing the Glomex (do I need it?) the cables are all labeled really well Mainship gets 5 stars for this . The salon tv works fine now. I have not been able to locate where the RCA cables go (on either unit)and not sure where the forward unit plugs into power. I have not been able to turn the forward on but think maybe all the outlet switches might need to be on on the AC panel. Also I would like to be able to use the TV without the generator or shore power. I think they are 14 volts. I was thinking of a small inverter to plug the tv transformer into or has anyone tried to use the tv on 12 volts?

My 2008 34HT has "Sole" TVs that are 12V
I added a 12V wire w the same plug as the factory power Xfmr to the back of the TV. Access was EZ from the back side with 12V breaker panel removed. I left the 120V arrangement in place and simply added the 12V option so switching back is still possible by switching plugs on back of TV.
I also eliminated ( unplugged & bypassed but left in place to fill the hole ) the "Apex" digital TV converter as the Sole is already a digital TV and the converter seemed redundant... no idea why MS installed it unless it was that their previous TVs were not digital and needed the converter and it got carried over.
The Glomex is the signal amplifier and I left it in place.
I believe the fwd cabin TV & Apex unit power connection is in the stbd side hanging locked that's too small for hangers ( I converted mine to shelves and it's a lot more usable. As I recall it's buried behind a cover or closet panel but don't recall the details. We rarely use that TV and I never bothered to convert to 12V.
