We use Coastal Explorer for vessel navigation. Some of the CHS raster charts are older (time to update) but I have newer versions on my iPad, so on occasion in anchorages may confirm with the iPad. In Chappel Inlet, we called up the iNavx App and all of a sudden the vessel is clearly several hundred yards from where it should be. I hadn't noticed this problem when using the iPad on the skiff. A long story short, I discovered the problem was resolved when the Bluetooth connection was between the Inreach and the iPad was terminated. I think the iPad may have defaulted to the GPS on the Inreach, which for some reason was less reliable. Inreach is quite sensitive to clear sky and struggles a bit inside the boat.
