We just signed the contract on this beauty. Any opinions from Catalina owners?

Well, you didn't get much response but just saw this myself. We have the Cat 480 (big brother to the 427) and I'm happy to share what I've learned (good, bad & otherwise).

Tnx for the reply, we bought her, added solar, an inverter and a few other goodies. Currently in the Exumas Bahamas cruising on her. Great boat!!

Hi - Sounds amazing! Among a multitude of repairs and upgrades we also added an inverter - Solar is next year. We are on the hard for winter in N Wisconsin, but with the mild winter a mid-April launch might be possible. Enjoy the warmth and sun!
