Comparing Carter36 and Mainship36

I'm interested in knowing what the appreciable differences are between these boats. The Carter36's I've seen for sale have 454's and the Mainships36's have 350's. Apparently the 454's burn fuel at a 50% higher rate. Is that all together a bad thing? Are the Mainships underpowered? What about construction? Is one better built than the other?

BTW, I'd like to forego any discussion about gas v. Diesel.
