I have a Lehman 120 with about 3500 hours on it. Starts fine, runs fine. Also burns little to no oil and oil always looks good. but I notice that there appears to be a small sheen of diesel from the exhaust discharge. Hopefully nothing major. Any thoughts?

Thanks. That is my general understanding and that it is common with a Lehman 120. As previously stated the engine starts easily from a cold start, runs well, good rpm/power and oil looks fine.

On most diesels, lots of idling/low RPM can cause an exhaust sheen on the next startup.

Nope, Lehmans always mark their territory. You can diminish it a bit by servicing your injectors, but don't expect miracles.

Might just want to check the oil cooler. They can bleed into the water system and produce a slick if leaking internally.

Random thought.

Seems to confirm what I was told about Lehmans. Work horse of an engine but with a few unique characteristics.

Read my old posts about changing to synthetic.

I have happy Lehmans.
