I bought a new 10.5' dinghy this year and am now looking to find a good boarding ladder. Besides using it to go to shore, we will use it to swim and dive off of. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Big enough to carry an outboard? Using the planer (flat plate above the prop) as a step, board the dinghy through the transom. Better still if you have installed a planing fin, triples the area available to step on.

My 12' came with a boarding ladder, clips to a D ring near the transom, has 2 steps, one in the water. I prefer just stepping on the planer. more solid, no swinging under the tube.

Great idea. I have a 15hp Honda outboard on the dinghy. I’ll have to see if there is someway to make it work. I did want to carry a boarding ladder with me when I think I’ll need it.
