There was a recent thread here on TF where somebody was asking about buying a used steel trawler. He was given gloomy responses of great foreboding, mostly about boats rusting from the inside out.
Made me recall the video below, as well as several conversations I've had with a retired metallurgical engineer who said double hull tankers are ticking time bombs, in that the space between the hulls is incredibly hard to both inspect and repair.
