I think either a standoff with badly corroded post, but I agree the "post" looks too uniform to be corroded remains.


Or it's a grease nipple with female thread, but I think this would be the first grease nipple I've ever seen with female threads. Or maybe I just haven't paid attention to them. That's probably the most likely thing here.
