Get building; the plans and cutting files are only $1400.
Over 100 hulls already built: impressive!
Wonder the cost if I hired workers into my company - specifically for building this boat, with me 50% of build-time on active duty too??
Let's say average for on-site hired persons doing 40 hr. weeks (in CA U.S.): One do-it / hands-on build manager $2K per wk., two craftsmen $3.5K per wk., two smart helpers $1.5K per wk. Estimate weekly cost = $7K per wk. all inclusive for hired help. My time at 50% on site (20 hrs. a week) equivalents to $2K sweat equity = total labor cost $9K weekly. Total out of my pocket $7K weekly. Workers paid going rate value at salary and/or hourly wage.
Lets say we can build it complete in 13 months: 56 wks x $7K = $392K (my sweet equity = $112K)
Yard to build it in and xtra costs such as shipping etc, etc = $30K
How much do parts cost, inclusive engine etc... $350K to $400K??
That would mean (calculating on high $ide at first blush): For $822K Boat would be ready for splash. Add in my $112K SE and it costs bit under $1M - in CA, U.S. that is...
Soooo - How much is boat value once fully completed and all bugs worked out - $1.5M / 1.75M / $2M???
Sippen coffee and just wondering!
