Murray,
Indeed ... by the 20hp per gal rule that would be 18gph WOT. Beast yes.
There’s a Willard 30 running around w an 80hp Cummins 4cyl.
A lotta guys sure like their beasts.

Thank you S of F, Soo many the same color.

Dan, sorry I misread that. Even I have 100gal of water.

"20hp per gal rule" - for diesel only I guess??

BTW... Our Tolly carries 77 gal fresh water. Never have problem as we use water at "Boat Speed"; in other words... very low flow! And, we drink out of 1 gallon, clear material, carry on water containers.

I find this 2 cabin Alaska 45 "interesting". Too much power, 5ft bigger than I`d want (though Alaska LOAs tend to be accurate whereas a Riv 37 is really 43ft LOA),no FB(yay!),great main cabin, not too much galley, and looking solid and well built.

Lots of room, but looks odd to me. Almost like a Healhustler photoshop job. [emoji57]

If it’s stabilized it might be OK offshore.

Eric, I though you were an Alaskan. I bought a pair of bright yellow fenders in Ketchican. I used them to keep the tubes on my dinghy clean by fending them away from the davit arms.

Keith,
I was born in Juneau. Worked in western Alaska in two different mines and a fish camp (FalsePass), lived in Anchorage for about 7months and then back in Juneau in the 70’s. Lived recently for 8 years at Thorne Bay. I’m an Alaskan.

Would like to go back to Juneau or Sitka.

Re the fenders I’d need to put them out in the sun for a year to fade a bit. That’s the one thing I may go for in black .. fenders.

Bedwood,
I'd love to see the below the water line aft hull shape. Looking at the wake (or lack of it) suggests the hull bottom terminates at the WL and the transom like all good FD boats do. No following wave is evident in her wake so there may be a hooked bottom close to the transom. That would probably flatten the wake.

She may be very efficient as the text says but no mention of her speed was found by me and I suspect this is one of her limiting factors. However I didn't read very carefully.

As a yacht this hull will not make much of a splash because of the lack of speed, probably somewhere south of a typical FD hull. But this new and wild design probably has other features not evident to most of us. May have a low wetted surface for example.
But there's always somebody w a barrel full of money that really needs something different. Usually folks that are different themselves. TF is a very conservatiive group so few would be interested in something as unconventional as this big wedge.

The question is, where to dock this thing?

It sure would occupy a channel when it comes to fueling and loading stores.
I am guessing the owner would have to dock it on a commercial dock. The rest of the time, out to sea or hanging on buoys or anchors.

We were out yesterday in Sarasot Harbor and took a tour through the mooring field. I’ve seen this boat from downtown but could never get close enough for a photo until yesterday. It’s a cat hull, but outside of that, duh! Cantilever davits?!

We seriously looked at this boat and its beautifully presented and built but doubt it would keep any value in the next 5 years. Even if it did another buyer maybe hard to find ? Its still as new and sold for over $600000

I agree, it will be a tough sale, this time and next. You bought a year ago, so it`s been for sale a while. Greenline have been around for years and exhibit at Shows but, it`s not mainstream, and the VW engines are unusual. But it ticks the twins, no FB, no Volvos, boxes.
About the Seahorse Coot, I think someone on TF checked it out, finding rust. Probably getting in the way of a sale.
How about the Alaska 45 at Birkenhead Marina I pitched, at $410K. Big, overpowered, but nice build. And no FB :).

No FB maybe cheaper and better option than 2 new knees and a hip :D

I have also seen it around here a rather odd one for sure

Elegant vessel. I’m more than surprized about it’s reported 4 ft. Draft.

4ft draft is surprising, but I see this description "The hull design is a V bottom, hard chine planing hull with a full length keel". Maybe the "planing" bit explains it.
She`d be a exciting sight on the plane. So would the Floscan meters reading the fuel consumption.
