We're having our 1990 IG 32 painted and I'm wondering about paint colors that would match the original gelcoat. We'll probably use Awlgrip. I know they make a Grand Banks White, which would probably be my first guess, but would totally appreciate any thoughts!

Late last year I had the topsides of my '84 36 Europa painted. My boat was painted when delivered from the factory, so I don't know if the colors used changed over the years.

The best match I found for my boat was "snow white" which is avail in both Awl-grip and Awl-craft.

BTW I choose awl-craft for the topsides. It can be blended and touched up in case of damage, while awl-grip is really, really hard to do repairs on.

Snow White actually matches pretty well to the little bit of original color that's left! I agree with you about Awlcraft vs Awlgrip. Probably go with Awlgrip for the hull, just because it's more durable. thanks.
