Leave AC on when not there?

It seems very odd that 2 units would fail that way. Wondering if the tech figured he could turn 2 fairly simple restarts into 2 new unit and installation sales.

That crossed my mind, too, and it could be the case. Although, the owner of the boat always seemed fairly knowledgeable to me. When I talk to them next I'll see what I can learn. I'm so curious now!
