Hi guys. Quick question. What is this thing? In the engine room on the rear wall there is a can of sorts with electrical parts. 1 big fat hose from near bottom of the block goes to it from starboard and from Port a much small hose.

I believe it says oil purifier on the can. Is this thing necessary? And does anyone know how it works? I bought 2 leyman manuals and I can't find anything on it.

Thanks in advance

Probably a bypass oil filter. Not necessary, but definitely nice to have.

Yes, picture would help but agree it is most likely remote oil filtration.

I have 2 x Ford Lehman 120's, but this does not ring a bell. If it is an extra oil filter I would be very happy with it.
If it is an easier way for oil changes I would start applauding.

With electrical connections, just maybe it is an oil changing system, not just a remote filter.
