Does anyone have any information on who manufactured the sliding windows and double doors on the Mainship Boats? Could it be Bomar?
Need to get screens and plunger closer for the double doors.

I have a Mainship that I purchased this year, the sliding door has been moved to the starboard side which is nice walk way, but there is no latch on the sliding door, has anyone given you any ideas???

Mainship windows/doors???

Sorry I have not received a response regarding the manufacturer of the Mainship doors or windows. I wish I knew who made them I still need a closer for the aft double doors .

Hope you get more info.

You are both a little vague on helpful details- what years are your vessels?

All I an add is some fairly old-school info, for my '88 the windshield is Taylor-Made, and the sliding door is Adams Rite Mfg.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I was wondering where I could get a replacement door closer for the rear two doors. It is a plunger type part similar to what is found on common screen doors. Unfortunately, much of it is plastic and cannot be repaired. I have been unable to replace this part.

Also we do not have screens for the three sliding windows in the main salon. Any additional info is appreciated.

I shall check into the manufacturers you gave me, Many thanks.

mainship windows/doors?

I too would like to know the brand for the salon centerline tilt out window, as mine is leaking and need the gasket set. Who made this window? There is no name or number that I can find.

I have a 85 aft cabin and the doorway going into the main salon has a top hatch that opens up and locks open. The bottom door swings open and is held open with a “J” hook. Does anyone know where to buy that top hatch piece ( it has piano hinges on the back part and their very rusty and breaking apart..need new top piece.

Door latch mechanism

I am so sorry but I do not know the answer. Hopefully, someone familiar with that Mainship will have an answer for you.
Good luck!

Hey guys, I'm new to this form. I've been taking care of an old friends 89 Manship 41 and of course he has no documentation on anything and luckily my first degree is industrial design and engineering so I've been actually making the parts as needed if I can't find them in his barn back at his house. I'm actually gonna just make my own door locks because the plunger type door locks are seated in the double thick acrylic a.k.a. plastic glass salon doors 89/41 has sliding doors on both sides and a rear cabin as well as a forward cabin. The enormous issues I've run into with this boat is leaks and they are insidious and they are. Let's just say overly confident. design moves back in the day or just engineered opalescence. For instance, the entire bridge has a seam all the way around it, and if you have any leaks on that bridge, they are going to go inside that hollow structure and all route to these little weep holes on both sides toward the aft and even more so that drain is right above the last window of the three windows on both sides so if you have any leaks in the windows, you're just dumping water right into your cabin, which is what's going on with this boat plus the windshield leaks all around. I'm actually doing all the windows and seals on the entire boat . They are rectangular Linear aluminum frames and you can pick up a standard screen kit to put in new screen material but if you don't have the frame completely the measurements for at least 89 Manship are 21 1/2 by around 8 inches. There's a little leeway there and they screw in from the outside. You can't take them in from the inside. I'm talking about the three star and three windows to the cabin or bathroom. I have 1 million questions and found you guys by accident while I was looking up something so I'm sure I'll remember later but feel free to reach out if you guys have any questions. I just run into things all the time and I'm so used to just making something myself out of frustration and budget. Good luck!
