I have been looking to upgrade to an AIS VHF. I ran across this radio from France.
This is NMEA 2000 version. It integrates nicely via the network with the chart plotter and the external GPS. Price for the radio plus a second handset was $518 including an exorbitant shipping charge. Pricing on the web site includes VAT, however, the VAT is removed for orders outside of the EU.
Here's the home screen on the handset.
Here's the AIS info displayed on the chart plotter
Here's the list of MMSI's on the VHF's handset.
Lastly a plot of MMSI's on the VHF's handset found within three nautical miles of my location.
I purchased the RT850 from nootica.com. The manufacturer's web site is navicom.fr. Nootica will communicate in English. Navicom only in French. Navicom did provide me with an English version of the owner's manual
