Oil filter pns

I've been waiting for a Yanmar 6LYA-STP oil filter and Kohler 8EOZ oil filter. I have ordered from Marine Parts Express and needed them by today. Well, that didn't happen. More my fault, not ordering soon enough, than theirs. Does anyone have a cross number that I might find at my local NAPA store or do you recommend I wait?

There is nothing wrong with the quality of NAPA filters. You just need to be sure the technical details are the same as the OEM filter. I use NAPA oil and filters exclusively, but I also only use direct replacements only.

Sorry I don't have the number for you as I am not on the boat, but NAPA and other auto parts stores carry the oil filter that fits your Kohler. BUT you need to be careful, because some of the crossover filters are just a little too wide to fit past the fuel filter. I recommend pulling your old filter off and bringing it with you to compare.


Sierra makes one too, a lot of West Marine stores carry them.


Just go to the store and ask, they will help you find the correct filter.
