Manual says PEG coolant, makes perfect sense for a 1994 vintage unit.

But the stuff in the tank is orange, pretty sure it's DEXCOOL, which I'm familiar with and use in my SUV's.

3208 engines have the pink CAT stuff.

Any thoughts? DEXCOOL is PEG based. Is it OK to use in the Onan, or should I flush it and install traditional green coolant? Or just use the CAT coolant?

Maybe OAT coolant provides better corrosion protection in a marine application?

I run the green Preston. Some here will disagree as it is not necessary "marine"

I run CAT ELC in mine and in my CAT mains. This way, I only have to carry one type of extra coolant.

PO had used incorrect antifreeze in my Yanmars years ago when I first purchased it. It had started to turn to gel, and took a bit to get flushed and replaced with the correct stuff. My advice would be to clean it out and put what the manual calls for, Some alloys will react bad with the wrong mix.
