Looking to replace/update the 110v Origo 4-burner glass top cooktop on Radiant, our 48’ 1991 Carver Californian. Anyone done this? I see that Origo doesn’t exist anymore so a drop-in replacement doesn’t look promising. Trying not to replace our solid surface countertops.

Have you searched other 110V cooktop makers with the same or similar footprint?

If I was selecting an electric cooktop today, it would be an induction cooktop. I recently bought a small one for home to test it out and I'm a new fan. Also love my new air fryer!!

I have been searching on-line with no success. Dometic doesn’t seem to offer more than a three burner. I’ve looked at both marine and RV sources but no bueno. I’m going to try out an induction unit to see if it works with the Admiral’s cookware. That might be the ultimate answer.

No need to buy an induction cooktop just to check cookware compatibility. Just use a magnet. If it sticks to the cookware it will work on induction. In any event, do NOT purchase an ancient technology electric coil cooktop. They are vastly inferior to induction.

My cookware isn't magnetic but to try it out, I use an induction diffuser plate like this from Amazon for about $20. I use my normal pots and pans on it at home for now but will buy magnetic, induction-compatible cookware when I install one on my boat.

Search Amazon induction cooktop.
