I bought my 36 albin with 2 different sized props. one is a 3 blade 24 x 18 pilot bore LH Mich#317719. The other prop is 2" smaller. What sized prop is best for a 36 albin with a 120 lehman diesel?

I have a 24 X 19 LH three blade on my 36 Grand Mariner, 120 Lehman.
The boat is very responsive at slow speeds. I cruise 7 knots at 1750 RPM.

Welcome aboard. Are you getting the max recommended RPMs out of the engines? I suspect that the PO replaced one of the props with something “close” so you need to see which engine turns the recommended RPMs. That is the one you want to go with. Another boats prop may or may not turn the proper RPMs on your boat.

Thanks Ahoy
I contacted General propeller and they fed the information into the computer and came up with a 24 X 18 and with that prop I get similar response as your Grand Mariner. I have a 120 lehman and cruise at between 7 and 8 knots at about the same rpm.

Simple, bring engine information, transmission information, cruising rpm and visit a prop shop. Discuss with them and. Follow their advice
