With the sliders, what happens when you run into rough water?I just bought a Lazy Boy Wall Away recliner for my 38E. It fits perfectly in the starboard side space. I mounted sliders on each corner of the base for moving the chair to gain access to the cabinets behind it. It’s so very comfortable.
I like it. We have a recliner in the same spot but it does not fit there as well as that one. When you say sliders I am assuming they are screwed to the bottom of the chair with carpet / fabric on the cabin sole?I just bought a Lazy Boy Wall Away recliner for my 38E. Even with sliders, there’s still enough friction to hold the chair in place. The purpose of the sliders is to protect the floor. The factory “feet” are just a small hard, rounded knobs that would likely score the teak. If it gets real rough, just have a seat I guess. With the sliders, what happens when you run into rough water?
They are round discs about 3” in diameter. I put a big glob of silicone on the disc and set a chair foot on each one. Most hardware stores sell them.I like it. I use those sliders at my house on certain furniture. They work great. I've been in enough big water though that anything that isn't nailed, screwed, or lashed down goes on a walkabout.Even with sliders, there’s still enough friction to hold the chair in place.
