Replacing rusted out fuel tanks

Bayliner 3270 1987. Aluminum tanks.Pump out fuel. Cut access holes in side or top of tanks, one per compartment. Clean the tanks. Epoxy the bottom and up the sides of the tank. Install access hole cover plates. Polish the fuel and put back in tanks. Petro-Clean
out of Anacortes did the work. Great job. Less expensive than pulling the engines and replacing the tanks.j

Leaking Fuel Tanks. I had a 32 bayliner. One of the tanks had a minor leak in the bottom. Tanks were accessable. Each tank had 3 compartments. Cut 6" dia access hole near the top of the tank for each compartment.. Pumped out the diesel first and saved in. Cleaned the tank. The tek had long arms and could go in the access hole and reach the bottom of the tanl. Applied epoxy to the bottom of the tank and to the sides up about 4". Let it cure for about 2-3 days. Then put access hole covers on. Polished the fuel and put it back into the tank. Worked great but expensive but less than pulling the engines and replacing the tanks. Work was done by outfit out of Anacortes. Will get their name and post it. Petro-clean did the work.
