Hi all Mainship 350,390 & 400 Owners

Are any Mainship 350,390 & 400 owners interested in a bow Sampson Post?

If we can get 10 orders or more, Marine Hardware, who originally supplied them to Mainship, the price would be $647.50 each plus applicable shipping cost and sales taxes.

They could be available about February 2025.

The Marine Hardware part number is Sampson post 1001019 = MH#SSAMP10001.

Please contact me if interested. If we can get 10 or more customers, I will contact Marine Hardware to see how it can be done.

I am not a Hardware Marine employee or being compensated for this. I would like one at this price. I have one other possible customer now and the price each is about $1250.

I have one. Will be doing an install very soon (once the honey do's are done).

Hi. Where did you get it? what model Mainship do you have? Do you have instructions or information on how to install?
Thanks
Steve

I purchased it several years ago from ebay. I have not yet installed it.

Are Honey Dos ever done?

I'd really LOVE to add our name to the list to get one of these.

However, my admiral vetoed the concept. She is the one that "pulls the chain back" in the anchor [rode] locker when we are leaving an anchorage so it does not "cone up" on the sloped forward wall of that locker... ultimately causing the windlass to stop bringing up more chain.

Because she has to lean over and pull the chain aft in that locker, she says one of these VERY NICE Sampson Posts would only get in her way.

And so it is. The captain cannot get everything he wants!

One might also argue that some 3/4" plywood might be needed to shore up the 3 walls of the anchor locker to truly make this Sampson Post worthy of the strength it "appears" to give to a tow or mooring in adverse conditions. "Just cuz it looks strong, does not mean it is as robust as it looks." (It is only as strong as what it bolts down to.)

They are "sexy" nonetheless! I like the look.
