Looking for recent in person experience on cell/data coverage in the various San Juan Islands anchorage spots? While being able to work remote we are thinking of anchoring up there and would appreciate feedback, thank you!

Make sure you turn OFF the global setting, so you don't pick up Canadian towers.

We have TMobile and Verizon cell phones.
We also have a Cradlepoint running a Verizon data card.

Will have to research on how to get to global setting?

Its a setting on your phone under settings/mobile networks

Reid Harbor is the only place that I have had an issue with Verizon but I haven’t been there for two years. Every were else I have had good coverage withVerizon.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. Too bad about Reid, we haven't been there in a couple years and can't remember what the coverage was like - but then again I was there on vacation and didn't care to be connected or not. This time I need to make sure we have coverage, we can always move to a different location to hunt for decent coverage.

I know, doesn't sound right but the option to work from home at least gives us to option to cruise and put the mains and systems under a load.

T-mobile and Canada is free ,is the best all around.
Also north inside a lot of places around cities.

I had Verizon for several years but switched to T-Mobil this year. Getting much better cell service and internet service. Never could get service in Reid and poor service in Prevost . I can now get good service about half way out of Reid ( out by the Coast Guard buoy), and good service in Prevost (opposite side of the bay, across from the state park dock). You will be connected to the Canadian cell service when at Stuart Island.

Garrison bay is good, Hunter bay is good, Spencer Spit is good (south side, don't know about north side), Echo Bay should be good, Roche should be good, also Blind Bay is very good. We got a free tablet from T-Mobil when we signed up so use it as a hot spot for my lap top.

Last season just my wife had T-Mobil up in Canada and it worked better that my Verizon.
