Shouldn't be too much longer before she's launched.* My Coot was in the water for a month or so while the interior was being completed.

Congratulations on KEKADA. I have seen a lot of excellent work done by Seahorse Marine. They boosted up DieselDucks to the level of today. Their craftsmanship is outstanding.
Youll have a lot of joy with this boatthats for sure!

*The list price of the Coot has risen from $199,000 U.S. when I ordered mine (and paid)*to a current price of $250,000.

Seahorse Marine have been a joy to work with. Only a few weeks to go before completion. Just trying to finalise all those little things at home to allow us to again become full-time cruisers.

Spectacular!* Seahorse sure does great paint jobs!
 
Sea Trials moved forward to today due to typhoon headed this way.**Love those twins, so easy to spin her in own length. The Gyro stabilizer didn't get a hard work out but shows a lot of promise.*Noise levels very low. Couldn't hear the engines over the rush of water at 9 knots when standing in the cockpit. Props pitched almost perfectly. We got 99% loading at WOT. Only 10.5 knots max instead of 11 knots on*paper but still happy with that.*Pictures to come when we have more bandwidth. Don

Seahorse 52 ????? owners

Can any present or past owner of the 52 answer a few questions?
Is the running gear adequately protected on a twin engine boat?
How is the seakeeping in head and following seas?
any other owner comments appreciated .

Seems this thread has "passed away" but I find myself at the Seattle Boat Show where there is a very nice Seahorse 52.
Wonder if everyone is still pleased with their purchase.
This boat is certainly in my possibilities.
 
Walked that boat as well and it is certainly a beauty, well equipped and seems to be priced reasonably.

I walked through it too. I did not see any hanging closets and about 5' of its length at the aft end was less than usable. With some negotiating the 53 Selene seems a better buy, how about Sandstone the Nordhavn. It seemed the best of the lot to me in that size range.
 
I wonder how it ended up working out for them. The website Kekada hasn't been updated since 2011... Hope all is well, and would very much like to hear their opinion of the boat after they've put some oceans beneath her.
