Potential Shannon owner
Hi Bill, I read your review on Soundings and have been looking since I saw my first Voyager 36 at Block Island this past Labor Day. I immediately saw a listing on Chelsea Morning in Essex, Ct and summarily called the Broker to find out she just sold, ouch. There were no others out there.
I lived in Bristol 10 years ago and was a neighbor of Bill Ramos's brother. At that time the only Shannon power boat I had ever seen was a SRD which was a strange looking to me at the time.
Since so few Voyagers were built, I thought it would be awhile before another one came on the market. I then stumbled on a Legacy 40 that I am currently under agreement on. Went down to Md. Friday with my Surveyor and she blew the starboard Cummins 6bta5.9 M3 370 during sea trial!
The acceptance date is this Friday. My Surveyor and the selling Broker are saying both engines should be replaced. The seller may or may not go along with this. Meanwhile I am looking again for a Shannon Voyager.
I will most likely end up a Shannon Voyager owner.
