Offered for your consideration is a complete
Furuno 1833-C color flat panel marine
radar and chart plotter with a NavPod.
It comes complete with GPS antenna, map chips and a
Furuno 1700-C second station for the lower helm.
I am asking $1900 plus shipping, but willing to take offers. This system in on Craig's List where I will be progressively lowering the price until this system sells.
This system has a ton of features and to the best of my knowledge they
all work as Furuno intended. The GPS and radar on both units were in solid
working condition when removed from my own boat in February of 2019.
I have just removed this system from my boat and replaced it with a
new 15 inch touch screen Furuno Plotter/Radar and solid state dome.
This 1833-C Furuno is used, but when new it was considered
to be top of the line radar/plotter equipment. It is widely used
by and primarily designed for the commercial boater.
There are newer radar/plotter systems available, but
Nothing will find and paint a radar target or provide
GPS fixes with any better accuracy than this unit.
Included in this auction are the following items:
Furuno 1833C 10 inch color radar plotter display with sun cover
Furuno GD-1700-C color video plotter flat panel display with sun cover
24 inch radar dome
GPS remote antenna
NavPod for 10 inch display
Navionics C-Map 2017 Portsmouth to Block Island
Navionics C-Map 2017 Block Island to Long Island
Equipment Instillation manual from Furuno
Operator's manuals from Furuno for both units
After market easy to follow radar book
Hand held Remote control clicker
This Furuno system consists of an 1833-C 10.4 Inch color LCD
Radar/GPS Chart Plotter display and a 4.0 kW, 36 NM 24-inch Transmitter
radome. The 1833-C display was used at the upper helm in the NavPod enclosure.
The second helm used the Furuno GD-1700-C color video repeater which
was flush-mounted in an overhead panel at the lower station
This LED color system was fully functional when my boat was pulled
for the winter in October of 2018. The system finds targets and acquires
GPS signals well. Plotter works as it should. The dome looks great and
the two displays show minimal wear and have no operational issues.
The NavPod upper helm mounting modal is in excellent shape and had
always been dash mounted inside the canvas enclosure.
This system Uses Furuno and Navionics Cartography for charting and it
comes with two Navionics C-Map cards covering New England to
Block Island, and Block to New York. These cards were both updated
with new chart navigational data in 2017 and can easily be updated
every year for a fee if so desired.
You can expand this system to add depth sounder functionality by adding
an ETR-6/10 or DFF1 sounder module and transducer.
Shipping and packing will be billed at my cost, and I expect I will have
this work done by Parcel Pro as those people seem to understand how
best to pack and ship electronic gear. Or, if you want it can be picked up
in person and avoid these charges. I am located in Stafford Springs, CT,
which is in the north eastern part of the state.
Thanks for looking!
