Thank you guys for the support, it is getting a little easier as the days pass. Not the first dog we have lost, but it was very sudden and unexpected and she was our all time favorite. It also corresponds with our older son graduating from college and our younger son starting as a freshman a few months ago. The house suddenly feels really empty. It has hit my wife and me pretty hard.
