Free: The price is right!

After much effort and commitment I have ultimately missed my repair deadline on the 3rd to float our 8 year old WM RIB 340. She has a couple of small leaks. But will hold air indefinitely on the port tube. The bottom is prepped and ready for fairing and then new gel coat needs to be applied. The new one arrives tomorrow and the Admiral says make this one disappear. I can load her on your trailer and have the title as well. I'm gonna remove the transom Weaver bracket. First one here gets her for free.

Thanks Tuesday. We purchased it new and I installed a weaver snap system only to find the wife and I couldn't lift it as planned. Thus leaving it in the water started and I painted the bottom. Naturally after a few years barnacles took over- so I bought a new trailer and brought her home. Removed all the barnacles on gel coat and on Hypalon (Can you say needle scaler?) and was ready with West System/ White Gel coat.
She has 17" tubes and we had a 3.5 4 stroke to push her. I'm getting a RIB 350 so will use trailer and motor. New cover ordered too. These big guys are nice to have- but expensive!
Comes with seat, repair kit, pump, and one oar.

This is a great thing for the right guy. Initially I thought I would list it on Craigslist for $500, and will do that Monday if no hits. I would prefer it was given to someone here that could really use it....

No No! It went to one of our members. And he had past experience working with Hypalon on dinks. So a double plus.

We are home from Gulf Shores, I made the drive yesterday from Beaumont. My boat is still land locked... All left is mounting a pod to hold the new GPS. The old electronics box was mm's too small in width to accommodate the new Garmin and VHF. Brackets will be in next week and we should be done.

Don I thought you would be on this quick. Phil pulled my Weaver Arc receiver off for me and the plan is to measure out and order the front arc like you have. This may be pretty quick- as I found out today that I can't leave the dink/trailer at the marina unless it's attached to a vehicle. That may mean having to haul the rig home everytime we go home.

Obviously not. If that was true I'd have gotten a free Fleming by now instead of continuing to slog around our home waters in a sorry-ass old GB. When we were out the other weekend we were passed by a glacier.........

So here is the new ride (WM Hypalon RIB 350). A shout out to David at West Marine in Slidell for getting it in 2 days. Is it comparable to the WM340 RIB (Avon) I had before? Mostly no. The old 340 had thicker Hypalon ((I believe)), it had beefier hold rope anchors and a taller beefier transom- requiring a long shaft outboard. But.... This new white rib is very clean and polished. It has a stronger fg seat, a stronger non skid floor, an impressive oar lock system and I actually got it on plane with just me (230 #'s) and a four stroke 3.5 hp outboard.
I got my past RIB on a "Get it outa here" bargain of two boat bills- so don't know what list was.
This boat, $3599 I think list, is a great value IMO. I also ordered a cover with the boat, and have a trailer to store it on till I can afford the front Weaver arc .

Thanks Paul- good to hear from you. I'm about to start a post about anchors. I know- I know. Parks says we are a little too quick to judge each other on our anchor choices. We were at West Ship late yesterday afternoon and my Delta drug a 1/4 mile when the blow hit. Up to 60 mph was the warning and we may have hit that.
