With a mixed brait and chain rode, I've never had twisting issues, but the anchor comes up backwards or sideways at times due to the chain not always hitting the roller (and windlass) in the same orientation every time. My anchor self-rights well unless it's completely backwards, so I just keep a boat hook handy and if it's backwards, pause and give the anchor a prod right before it hits the roller. Then it'll spin around the rest of the way as it comes in.
That's a thing to watch for if you ever change to a windlass instead of the capstan.
