My fault just cost me $ 1600. I had laid up my vessel and did not block exhaust pipe. It is straight pipe with no muffler. Because the cold moist winds kept going up the tail pipe corrosion formed with in the pipe and turbo housing freezing the turbo. I removed to have repaired and had trouble findin a repair shop. Finally found D & W Diesel in Latham, N.Y. at 518 437 1300. Did a great job. It looks like new. If I had blocked the pipe and maybe also sprayed inside with a light oil i could still have $ 1600. in my pocket. I will also put red tape over my fuel tank vents to keep moist air out and block off engine air intakes to keep warm air from electric heater with in the engine space.
