What brand/model bow thruster does your Camano Troll have?

My 1990 Camano, hull #5 has a Bow Power bow thruster which has suddenly started blowing the 250 amp fuse on the battery terminal. I have an electrician coming tomorrow to assess the situation but thought I should start preparing for bad news. The Bow Power is no longer made and parts are not available so I think I will be looking at a replacement. What brands and models fit the Camano? Or if anyone has any idea's on what could be happening to cause the problem please feel free to chime in. It started after having the boat on the hard for 5 days for bottom painting. No work was done on the thruster other than putting on a new zinc. I have snorkelled the thruster and the prop turns ok but does seem a bit stiff. New battery and wiring was installed during the winter but it has all worked fine up until now. Thanks for any input.

I’ll pull the motor tomorrow and take it in to a shop for testing. Hopefully that’s all it is.

Well, the motor was toast. Had a huge carbon build up which cause some shorting. I was advised that it couldn't be repaired but a replacement motor was available so I should be back in business next week.

I think mine is a Key Power. Biggest issue is keeping the tunnel clear - about 18 months beyond bottom paint, etc., barnacles narrow the tunnel - makes awful noise, drag on motor. Haul out, power wash, chip away barnacles, or hiring a diver takes care of that - doesn't quite make it to every other year bottom paint cycle.

Thanks for that. Yes I’ve had issues with mussels growing in there and on the blades in winter. When the water warms up I can get at them with a mask and snorkel.
I did get my new motor for it. Runs like a top now. More power too.
