Our boat, "Kozad"*is a 1974 Willard 30 Voyager which has had a total refit in 2003 with additional significant work*being completed*in 2007.

A*full displacement hull coastal cruiser; powered by a Perkins 4108 rated at 50hp, she*cruises at 6 to 7 knots while burning 1GPH.* With*135 gallons of fuel onboard she can cruise the PNW up to Alaska comfortably.

A perfeect coastal cruiser for two; at least we think so!

This is our US NAVY 50 ft Utility Boat hull with a lobster boat house.

Interestingly she did work as both a lobster boat and lobster supply boat.

DD 6-71 , about 3nmpg at 8K.

Cheap to keep!

This is my 1998 Mainship 350 Trawler on the Ohio River. Yes, it's a "production boat" but, we sure enjoy it. It has twin 190 HP Yanmars and does about 2.5 MPG at 9 knts.

We are planning on doing the loop on it in the next few years after updating the electronics and reworking the mast so it will fold down.

Thanks,

Here's our pride and joy, *Tortoise 1969 GB42 Hull#120

Keep this thread going, we love seeing everyones boats!

Well, CALYPSO appears to be a standard Grand Banks 42 classic, but looks can be deceiving, especially since I have spent 21 years playing around with her.* She's a 1972 woodie, and this picture of her lower station is just one of many internal changes.

Hi C Lectric....is that a Palmer?

Ok, not sure if this is going to work, but here is a couple of pics of Friendship. The hull is dirty from a couple of trips up and down the ditch last month. It's cleaned up now!
The two interior pics are the desk I built in last Winter. I'm sitting at it right now!

Any suggestions on turning it into a trawler?*

"La Perouse" is a 1973 Grand Banks 36 from the first year of fiberglass production, so it has a "Howard Abbey" hull, which is damn near bulletproof. The boat spent its whole life in San Francisco Bay until we went down and bought it out of Alameda in 1998. Twin Ford Lehman 120s.

My heart did a flip flop when I found your Albin. I had Trawlerette, a 1970 boat ( hull#278 ). I see yours is an early model too. Ours had a HM35F Yanmar. We were 68 days aboard on a trip to Juneau from near Seattle. I sold the boat to a wonderful lady ( Engineer on a ferry boat ) in 06 and bought a 30' Willard. We now live in Alaska.

David,

What a wonderful boat. Looks to be about 32 x 11'. We have a 30' Willard Nomad and its not often we see another boat as special, bueatiful and capable as yours.... and so well presented. Our refit will be completed next summer and then we will take her home to SE Alaska. Thanks for sharing wilh us and when I get my computer skills up I'll be sharing too.

JN, what kind of boat is that??? Looks kinda like a Fisher although It seems to made of steel. Very nice boat regardless..

It is aluminum, built in Canada by Reyse Marine, designed by Michael Kasten, 40 feet, powered by a 4 cylinder John Deere.

Jeff,

Sierra Madre sure looks FINE !!! I like the way she sits in the water and not much of a bowwave. I am curious how she is powered and how many gph.

Regards,

Bill

Cap'n Hook on page 8 with the 54' Sport Fish. No problem. Take out the Cat. Cut the lower portion of the transom away untill 100% of the transom is above the swtatic water line. Do sugery on the bottom to one quarter to one third of the way fwd so the bottom curves up to meet the new bottom of the transom. Get 2 MP 54 Isuzus or westerbeke 55s ( same engine ). Very efficent. Add a good sized keel, much larger rudders and mount the engines inbd close to the keel. Could be done to any boat with a straight run aft. The new 54' Sport trawler would have a speed of about 9knts and a burn rate of about 4gph. Don't ask me what it would be worth though.

Bill, the John Deere 4045 series, 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine rated at about 80 HP at 2300 RPM.* At 1800 RPM she will usually do 8 NM per hour or 7 1/2 with the paravanes down.* At this RPM the fuel usage is about 2.2 GPH.
Jeff

Here's a photo of Saratoga Sue, a 1981*Great Lakes 33 trawler built by Ontario Yachts in Burlington, ON.* Only about 20 were built in the early 80's.* The company is more noted for 28' and 32' sailboats.*

Sue has a single Volvo Penta TMD40A turbo diesel with a BW Velvetdrive.*

We have taken her north to Alaska and northern British Columbia twice in the four years we have owned her.* Her home is at the Oak Harbor Marina on Whidbey Island in Washington.
