Looking for a large off the shelf bimini. Everything out there is for smaller boats. I'm looking for 12 feet +/- wide and 15' or so long. Anyone know of any source? Yes, I can call the canvas maker but there's nothing custom about this. Just a big rectangular bimini. TIA.

Do you have a bimini and frame on there already?
Have you consulted the Hatteras Owners Forum? Lot's of 53 owners on there. The folks at Sam's Marine are often helpful on these matters.

I'd strongly disagree about this not being custom, if you don't have a frame. Even then, you have to have it sewn to fit on that frame. Certainly not an "off the shelf" item.

If you have the frame you could go with a hardtop like hardtotop.com. We have had them on 2 boats and had great success with them. On our current boat I went larger than the bimini that it came with so I would get more shade and to get a negative angle on the front of the enclosure. No affiliation.

Dont have a frame. We have a bimini over the front part (fly bridge) but not the back. Trying to match as much as possible.

What size are the tubes? Or if you don’t have any tubes then with a 12’ bimini you will need to go to 1 1/4” tubes. I don’t believe you will find any off the shelf with that diameter. They are all custom as far as I have seen. I upgraded my tubes from 1” to 1 1/4” when we put the hardtop on. Cost me about $750 for the 4 tubes in 1 1/4”.

This might be the best picture I have of the aft bimini on our even wider Hatteras 56MY. In our case, the forward edge zipped onto a piece fitted to the radar arch; to stow it you unzipped it and it folded back. We then had a "boot" to place over it and zip up in a nice trim way protect it accumulating water and ruffled by wind. Notice the carious issues with where and how the frame was secured and designed to fold.

Here's one picture of it folded up and stowed. (That's friends of ours waving to you).

Yes, most of it for smaller boats..... Making progress though.
