Hi there,
We live in Kitimat on BC's north coast and are going to look at a 23' pocket cruiser located in Vancouver in a couple weeks. It has a Perkins 4108 with 2500 hours. The present owner is getting on in years, and hasn't bothered putting it in the water this year.
We are going to have it surveyed in a couple days.
Does anybody have advice for transporting it north? It comes with a "custom built" trailer, so driving it up could be dodgy. We have heard of people barging new (to them) boats up from the south coast...any advice?
We've sea kayaked the BC coast (longest trip was six months long) but this will be our first boat, and believe a Vancouver to Kitimat maiden voyage would be nuts.
Thanks in advance.
